Rooted & Roaming

Rooted in California. Roaming the world.

A Hyatt Globalist family from the Inland Empire — honest hotel reviews, real points math, hidden gem restaurants, and two little co-pilots who keep it real.

Not haters — just Hyatt lovers.

We’re the Robledos. A family from Fontana, California with Hyatt Globalist status and a deep belief that travel with your kids is one of the best things you can do with your time and your points. The name comes from our family — Robledo means oak in Spanish. We’re rooted in California, in our culture, in who we are. And we’re roaming everywhere else.

“We’re not here to tell you what’s bad. We’re here to share what we love — Hyatt, California, the open road, good food, and the belief that life has a way of rewarding you if you stay open to it.”

Carmel Valley Ranch — Full Hyatt Globalist Review

The best breakfast buffet we’ve ever had at a Hyatt property. A farm hand named Salvador who introduced us to Luna the spitting alpaca. And a garden tour nobody told us about.

45 degrees outside. A pull shower Janett called military style. Programmable bed warmers that saved us. Rob gave us a full tour. Best glamping experience we’ve had.

214 steps to Pfeiffer Falls (we counted). The paella that became the highlight meal of 8 days. And the place we found because our first choice had a long wait.

The Globalist Life

We’re not travel hackers. We’re a family who found one program, went all in, and let it change how we travel. Here’s how the math works.

What is Globalist?

Hyatt’s top elite tier — earned at 60 qualifying nights per year. Free breakfast, suite upgrades, late checkout, resort fees waived. It changes everything.

🧮

The Points Math

We target 1.7 cents per point minimum. Add Globalist perks to the equation and CVR delivered 4.1 cents per point. We show you the full math on every stay.

🏨

Cash vs. Points

We always show you both. Sometimes cash is better. Usually it’s not. We give you the honest breakdown so you can decide for your family.

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Family Strategy

Free breakfast for four. One room upgrade covers everyone. Late checkout means no frantic 11am rush with kids. Globalist was made for families.
